As we're a new game, we don't actually have any frequently asked questions yet - but here are some we've expected and answered in advance!

I haven't played Xenoblade. Can I still play on your forum?
Yes you can! All the information you'll need to get started is on the forum, and we're more than happy to answer any questions you might have about the setting to help you get settled in. All that we ask is that you not apply to play the 7 'major' playable canons from the original game, but as you'll see below this will not hinder your play experience in the slightest!

I haven't played Xenoblade, but I want to. Can I avoid spoilers on your forum?
Unfortunately, no. The very premise of the game is a spoiler in itself, and other major spoilers are going to come up frequently in gameplay. We're very sorry about this, and we'd love to see you back when you've completed the game!

What's the aim of the site?
Along with the usual RP aims of developing fun characters and plots, Beyond Bionis has a focus on communal world-building and exploration. What this means is that as we play, and as we move our characters out into the world, we create new areas together. The overall aim of the site is to establish a feeling of wonder, a sense of ownership over the world we all contribute to, and a wish to explore further and find new things: in short, to recreate the very essence of what makes Xenoblade so great.

How important are canons?
Canons are important only in that their presence will be appreciated by fans of the game (and as such, have stricter application and activity requirements than other characters). They will not automatically have the main roles in plot, and will get no more perks than other characters. More minor canons (NPCs in the source material) and original characters are just as wanted and needed and loved!
